Here's the latest pic of my WIP Steampunk girl. Also I included a tease pic of my "Skin" project I just finished up at college. It was suppose to look like human skin and was made from wood glue. ha

Thursday

Isn't my little Latte` adorable?! She is so independent and knows how cute she is.
We love all the sunny days we get so we can lay out in the warm sun!
But I had to share this adorable, scrumptious photo of my girl chihuahua, Latte`.

I just have to say I love my sister Kelly and her beautiful, intelligent, talented family! Find their daughter singing with her haunting original songs at http://www.destinibeard.com/ and check out this up and coming star! (check out her dad's work also) I think this music is perfect for any spooky event! Thanks for stopping by!
bye now,

HERE IS MY WONDERLAND CARD DOLL

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!!

ARTDOLLONLY WONDERLAND BLOG EVENT

HERE HE IS: "WHAT A CARD" DOLL
I KNEW I WAS GOING TO DO A CARD OR A RABBIT. THE CARD SEEMED LIKE IT HAD SO MANY FUN OPPORTUNITIES TO GET EXTRA SILLY.

I FOUND THE MESH BASE AT GOODWILL. IT WAS A METAL EARRING HOLDER. IT TOOK THE PAPERCLAY REALLY WELL! I WAS EXTREMELY EXCITED AND JUST KEEPING ADDING MORE CLAY AND SHAPING THE CARD AS QUICKLY AS I COULD BECAUSE I COULDN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT THE NEXT STEP WOULD LOOK LIKE.  PAPERCLAY IS ADDICTIVE ENOUGH - BUT THIS DOLL COMPELLED ME!!

i THINK HIS NAME IS ERNIE. HE'S BEEN AROUND A LONG TIME AS YOU CAN TELL BY HIS WEATHERED CARD. HIS EYES ARE RED FROM KEEPING THE LONG HOURS; YOU'D BE TOO, IF YOU HEARD THE QUEEN SHOUT OUT ALL DAY "WHAT A CARD" AS THOUGH SHE WAS DISGUSTED. hmmf

THE HANDS ARE POLYMER cLAY.  I DECIDED TO GESSO THE PAPERCLAY BEFORE I PAINTED. THEN AN IRIDESCENT TYPE PAINT. CRACKLE, THEN WHITE PAINT.
THANKS FOR LOOKING. I'M NOT AT MY COMPUTER RIGHT NOW AND SHOULD BE BACK THIS WEEKEND. ENJOY AND THANKS FOR LOOKING.

I am happy with my WIP Steampunk doll now....

I was getting worried that I didn't know what to do quit next with my new doll. But last nite I had insomnia and of course, dollsWEREcallingme, so I faithfully got up and ended up painting her face. So now all is good again and I am at ease. ha   I have a good direction for her outfit but not as much for her face. I like her green eyes. This is an earlier pic, she has a little more detail now. I'm looking for black roving for her hair.
DRUM ROLL............This is her FacE debut. I made her a felted hat. It's my first one!
Here's the hat. It took quit awhile to make it but it was very relaxing.
Anyway, I have to get working on another doll before Steampunk girl gets her clothes. So I better run becos   dollsRcallingme......

Well, I haven't been on here for awhile, as I had 3 music gigs in the past week. So it's been busy and exciting.
Please hang in there with me on my blog, becos I'm just learning. thanx
Thanks for all your help Marina, I'll be using all your advice!

So my tribal/dancer doll now says she wants to be a "Steampunk" doll. So I'm dyeing her hair right now and made her a sweet green felted hat. I've been drawing her outfit and researching various Steampunk styles. It Jules Vernes meet Victorian. Like a 'rebel victorian'. ha  So there is alot of fantasy involved, romantic fabrics and lots of gears, metal and hard edged 'stuff'. I'm having fun learning about it.

Anyway, I have lots of fun pics to post from this last week.
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer. Take care.

Sunday's posting

I am soooo excited that I am finished with my Guardian doll from Barb Kobe's Medicine doll course. It helped me make a very meaningful doll!! Which I am appreciative of because it helped me keep my focus and intention of the doll. Thank you Barb!:)
Today I was outside taking in the sun and photos of my new doll Estrella. I am very happy with myself that I created something so enjoyable, meaningful, beautiful and,  so much a part of me.
I am going forward in many ways. I have much to be thankful for!
I am an artist and that is good!
